Veterans Base Camp is a place for Veterans to R.E.S.E.T. and find their way in the world they find themselves in. R.E.S.E.T. is an acronym for Regroup, Evaluate, Strategize, Engage, and Track. This is just one of VBC's programs providing resources to Veterans through counseling, community, and so much more.
And they don't stop there! They open their programs to not only Veterans, but also First Responders, Caregivers, and members of the community who are the most vulnerable.
Veterans Base Camp is an All Volunteer workforce. Great people with the biggest hearts!
Our Blue Star Mothers had generously brought several bags of food
to our August chapter meeting.
We delivered the bags to VBC just as they were getting ready for their Wednesday Food Pantry.
Wow! What a place!
The food pantry is an important and welcome component of the Base Camp.
They work with generous donors, local farms, stores and other food pantries to provide needed foodstuffs.
Veterans Base Camp
resides on 42 acres of beautiful land.
Their main building holds their offices, workspaces, food pantry, kitchen, and upstairs dormatories.
Their outbuildings include six cabins where Veterans in need may temporarily live and a small cabin for urgent placements.
In the back are trails throughout the property.
Veterans Base Camp also partners with
to provide backpacks filled with necessities to homeless and at-risk veterans
We were all very impressed with the amazing work being done at Veterans Base Camp. With the variety of projects and programs going on, they are meeting Veterans where they are, filling important needs, and creating a place where Veterans and the surrounding community can connect, contribute, and thrive.
